Carpet underlay for Vibeke Klint

All carpets benefit from lying on an underlay. It extends the lifetime of the rug and increases slip resistance.

Universal Stop 2.5 mm is a non-skid underlay, made from recycled polyester. Can be used on floors in parquet, laminate, ceramic tiles, cork and linoleum. Universal Stop is also suitable in connection with floor heating. This lightweight underlay contains no softeners and creates a good and solid base for any carpet and emphasizes the rug’s luxury and comfort.

Maintenance

Easily maintained – high quality wool
Daily cleaning

Use the vacuum cleaner frequently when the rug is new. It is normal that the rug produces shed fluff for a period of time. Vacuum in the direction of the plie and never with the brush down.
Stains

Immediately dab the area with a white cotton cloth to prevent the stain from penetrating the fibres.

Carefully sprinkle a bit of water on the stain and dab again with a white cotton cloth.

If the stain does not disappear, the rug should be cleaned by a professional, for instance: Vaskeriet.dk

In order to avoid staining from the floor it is recommended to use an underlay.

Rugs in warp repp technique should always have an underlay.

The use of an underlay also assures that the rug lies even and prolongs the lifetime of the rug
Wear

It is a good idea to turn the rug around twice a year to avoid uneven wear and to place e.g. plastic or felt protection under the feet of heavy furniture standing on the rug.

Note that the colors may fade if the rug is exposed to strong sunlight for a longer period of time.
